An usual outing at Ikebukuro

Today is my last day of winter break, but I still have a day off school tomorrow since I've no class on Fri :))

Photobucket
Today's outfit! today was rather cold with strong wind that I decided to make a side hair bun.

Today's destination is Ikebukuro! which is quite close from where I live.

Photobucket
I went to Ikebukuro by taking this tram.

Toden Arakawa line is the only tram that still exist here. Although this is the closest transportation that I can take from where I live but since it doesn't go to all the mainstream places, I rarely take it. Plus, I notice that most people who take it are seniors.

Photobucket
A chilli man, it looks familiar actually but I don't know what was being advertised and what mascot it was. There was a guy beside him who were giving away chilli man balloons.

Photobucket
New year ornaments. I personally love to spot this kind of special ornaments. Whether it is for new year, chirstmas, tanabata or other days.

Patty and her brother took the wrong exit that I needed to wait longer than our meeting time.
So than doing nothing, I decided to take picture of this lovely giant Rilakkuma doll in front of game center!

Photobucket
I'm trying to find an unusual angle. lol

Photobucket
hmmmm super close up! and you can actually see that it's kinda dirty lol

For lunch, we had a tsukemen at Yasubee. One of the best tsukemen I've ever had.
Yasube is probably on of the most famous tsukemen among my friends. Most likely because there's a store here around my campus and also how they offer same price for 3 amount sizes of noodle (regular, medium and large).

Photobucket
I actually quite like the shop's atmosphere.

Photobucket
I ordered, Spicy Miso tsukemen, medium size. The amount of the noodle was HUGE!

Photobucket
I'm a messy ramen eater so I asked for an apron. lol

Photobucket
I could finally finished it after giving some noodle to Patty's bro. I don't think I can ever finish the medium size although the regular is not that filling for me. lol

For sure next time, I'll  just order the regular one. Not being able to finish food after asking for bigger portion is a shame ;) haha

We went to Karaoke afterwards for an hour. I'm not a fan of karaoke since I don't sing but sometimes it's fun to go with friends :)

Photobucket
I didn't know if Patty is a karaoke lover who knows and can sing lots of Japanese songs ;)

Photobucket
Ikebukuro crossing!

Photobucket
Waiting for purikura...

Photobucket
Apparently in Japan it is not allowed for guys only to take purikura, they must be accompanied by girls.

And after some research I found out that the rule was made to prevent men trying to take picture secretly or stealing people belongings and also for picking girls up. :)

Photobucket
Inside the purikura box

Photobucket
editing the purikura

Photobucket
The result. Sometimes it's scary to see how purikura makes eyes look fakely large. But you'll get used to it after taking purikura for few times. ;)

Photobucket
This purikura machine claims itselft that it can make legs look beautiful. haha

We went to Sunshine City, the biggest shopping center complex at Ikebukuro. Not only shops, it also has an aquarium, an amusement park called Namja town by Namco, museum, etc.

Photobucket
The Bear's School. This is one of my fave Japanese characters :)

Photobucket
Cold Stone. I didn't really like my strawberry yoghurt ice cream though :'(

  2. That's a pretty cute outfit! And I've totally been to that same tsukemen restaurant except it was in Akihabahara. I remember I got a medium size and then couldn't finish it, so I told myself that I would always get the regular. haha

As for the bow belt I got in Japan, I'm not sure what exact store it was from, but I got it at the LaLaPort in Yokohama. :)
