Tokyo from the crossing

I am not a professional but I love taking pictures. I love taking pictures of the sky, of  food, of pretty things. I take picture from above, bellow and from the crossing!

photography tip #1: Crossing can be the best place to snap a picture :)

15 more days and I'll be back in Tokyo. I can't believe how fast time flies. As always, I'm starting to get excited and nervous at the time. Thinking of the possibilities of what I will be doing in the new semester, who I will meet and what kind of classes I will be taking.

Before a new term starts, every single time, I always set some goals and resolutions. But somehow I could always manage to find excuses not to do work on it, keep thinking that I still got plenty time. Now, the fact that I only have 1,5 years more of being an undergraduate student, I've got no time to postpone things anymore.

I must cherish my time and people around me, I must throw away my fear of failure, I must be open up to get to know new people, I must seek for opportunities not just wait for them to come to me, all for my own sake, for a better me, for my future.

Sometimes I wish I could go back to 18 year old Amelia who just stepped her feet in Japan. Who was young but braver than me now.

Last Saturday night

I had dinner with all my high school best friend who are currently in town last weekend :)
It was also a surprise happy graduation party to one of us, Anono who graduated the earliest among us! since she went to uni in Aussie, none of us could attend her graduation and this little surprise is all we could give to her.

Pretty candles that were prepared by Tante :D

the girl of the night! Happy graduation Anono! (I know you read my blog sometimes)

:D

Anono with Peco who ran away for 15 min from her bf on her 4th month anniversary date to join us :D

hihi

Some of the food we ordered. Btw, we had dinner at De Sushi, a Japanese restaurant at Lenmarc.

Monza Sushi, Sushi with cheese! unavailable in Japan! lol

Tuna sashimi, I love Tuna but not this tuna. So not good T.T. I miss Japan

Avocado Salad

I forgot what this is called
Actually more food were coming but I didn't bother to take pictures anymore. :D

Went to karaoke afterwards and according to my history, it was the craziest karaoke time I've ever had! We were like dancing imitating the video clips of some R&B songs we chose, it was embarrassing but still okay, until the karaoke staff passed by our room and laughed seeing us dancing like crazy from the little glass window on the door. Then I noticed more and more staff passed our room to take a glance! The first staff must have told the other staff. haha

Btw do you know that the word "Karaoke" comes from Japan? Kara means empty and Oke is a shortened form of orchestra :)

Last picture of us that day, I love these girls :D

My holiday is ending! I received my grades last week and they are not surprising, my prediction was right. I got one G, for a Japanese class that I stop attending in the middle because ummm... I dislike the teacher, a silly reason to drop a class rite? lol. Anyway failing in my school doesn't affect GPA and won't appear on official transcript (weird system, huh?). And soon it's time to register for new courses. I'm currently having headache arranging my time table and not  many classes suit my interest! boo!

Shirt, skirt and stripes

It's already really late, I'm currently downloading the IOS 5.1 for my iPhone which take hours (seriously internet here is so slow) and the most frustrating thing is that I can't sleep. I even tried to count sheep but failed.

So quick fashion post for today!

p.s.: I don't own the clothes, they are from floriestyle, I'd like to have them though. Only the shoes are mine ;)

Thai trip part 2

Thai travel diary part 2 :)

DAY 3:
Woke up in the morning, getting ready to check out and head for breakfast before that.

Mr. Ape for today

Prof. Salad
Buffet breakfast is so much fun when you think about not what you eat, but also what makes you plate beautiful :D

We took the cab to check in to another hotel, a better hotel which is right next to Platinum mall. I had the funniest taxi ride ever! The driver couldn't speak English and still he tried to make conversation with us in Thai, we just laughed a lot trying to guess what he meant. Apparently he wanted to know where we come from! And he was guessing that we were from the Philippines, you are wrong Mr. Taxi driver ;)

Bangkok traffic is bad and it has colorful taxis!

DAY 4:

Spent the whole day shopping at pratunam area

I met up with my Thai friend at big mall called Central World which is only around 6 minutes walk from my hotel. Although it was my second time meeting him in person, I've known him for many years, to be exact since I was in high school, during the no-privacy-social networking sites & MSN era (lol). All started because of talking about lomography, we even exchanged postcards and films long time ago. He brought his girlfriend along and it was nice to see them! :)

right in front of central world
We had dinner at a modern traditional Thai restaurant and although they both were on diet, they ordered a lot saying that I needed to try many kinds of Thai food :)

longan tea

Fried chicken wing, the serving was really cute!
They brought me to Khaosan road to look around and drove me pass by the grand palace at night from the car.

Khao san road

with the girlfriend :)

I hope I can see them again someday, whether in Japan or Thailand again :)

I went to apply for Chinese visa this morning. Before going back to Japan, I'll be in Hong Kong and China for 5 days. Time seriously flies, I can't believe that spring break is almost over and reality awaits me. これからもっともっと頑張らなきゃ!

Traveling outfits

For a little break before continuing my Thai travel's diary. I'll blog about my Thai traveling outfits :)

I tend to dress casually when I travel and bring enough clothes with only one shoes and bag, especially to place like Bangkok which is famous for shopping! :) I knew I needed much empty suitcase space to fill it later with new clothes.

Day 2:
Asymmetrical Dress: Berskha
Bag: Liz Lisa

Day 5:
Top: Unbranded
Trousers: Berskha
Bag: Liz Lisa

p.s. : I was not planning to make an outfit blog post, so I pictures purposely taken for my outfits and day 1, 3, 4, 6 are all missing (no pictures were taken by DSLR)! :(
