New year does not only mean time to gather with lovely family and friends in Tokyo, it also means bargain shopping!
Every new year in Tokyo, all the shops start to have the winter sales and also fukubukuro (lucky bag) which is a mysterious bag set for a certain price and you are not allowed to look inside.
So if you are lucky you will get nice stuff which is over the value of the money u pay.
I'm always tempted to get one every single year, but somehow I do never buy any, especially those bags from nice stores are usually sold out for the first few hours on the first of January, and I always start shopping on the 2nd. lol
My face of the day XD
So today, I went to Mitsui Outlet park which is located at Ozawa station, Tama city.
It was interesting to go there coz the place is suburb which is really different with Tokyo's downtown where I live. On the train ride we could see many greens, hills and mountains!
The Mitsui Outlet Park at Tama Ozawa. It was so crowded.
I was in love with today's sky.
a lot of people are bringing their dogs (and they are all cute, seriously Japanese dogs are the cutest).
I told you I was in love with the sky ;)
sky again :D
Everywhere was so crowded today, not only shops but also place to eat, although we had lunch in an usual time which is around 3PM, everywhere was still crowded! and we went to a food court on the top of a mall.
I had this pork yakiniku don. It was yumm, the rice was a little too sticky though.
Patty and her brother got this additional spicy Taiwanese karaage.
A random pug in front of the supermarket.
on the train back to Shinjuku
Shinjuku was really crowded too, full of people shopping and tourists.
My first purikura in 2012!
We did shop a lot!
We had dinner at kaiten sushi (train sushi) which I didn't take picture of...
What I purchased:
A cute white sweater.
A new coat, Patty also got a same one but in different color :)
I love this white collared shirt dress! I knew I needed to buy it at the first sight. lol
And last this wide checked scarf.
