Korean lunch at Korean town

I went to Shin Okubo, the Korean town in Tokyo to have samgyopsal today.
I always love Korean food and samgyopsal is one of my favorites :)

My outfit of the day

What I spotted on the way to the station, an abandoned bicycle

Shin Okubo is just a station away from Shinjuku and also Takadanobaba.
It is usually crowded with people during the noon but somehow today wasn't.

Photobucket
I love the wall painting

Photobucket
Some Koreans are promoting something by singing or to be exact shouting Tohonshinki's song (and u can see a guy was smoking in the pic)

Photobucket
Korean idols goods. K pop is growing in Japan.

Another Idol shop

Tonchan, the place we went is my fave place for samgyopsal. I had been to their branch at Takadanobaba for so many times but this was my first time to go to the Shin Okubo one. Definitely bigger and cleaner :)
Because this place is really famous that people are willing to wait hours to eat here, I recommend you not to go during lunch / dinner time or during weekends if you are not patient of waiting.
We went there today at around 2.30 and got seated after just waiting for 10 minutes.

Photobucket
Definitely fancier than the Takadanobaba's one

Photobucket
The side dishes. yummm

Photobucket
Patty's hungry face lol

Our meat!

Photobucket
Ready to be eaten

We ordered Kimchi fried rice with extra corn topping afterwards, this is Tonchan's another speciality and my fave!

Photobucket
corn being cooked. I love corn

Photobucket
they guy mixing everything together

Photobucket
almost ready :)

nom nom nom
I was so full afterwards and I'm still full now. Definitely, I'll go back here when I feel like eating samgyopsal :)

We walked to Shinjuku afterwards for karaoke.
Karaokekan at Shinjuku is having a special offer now, 3 hours with all u can drink softdrink for 980yen. Only at noon till 7PM though.

Photobucket
Inside the elevator. Patty is 10cm taller than me, I hate standing next to her, I shall wear heels next time if I hang out with her XD

Photobucket
My first time at Shinjuku's Karaokekan and the room here is cleaner

Photobucket
AKB48 is dominating the latest ranking!

After singing for 3 hours today, I who suck at singing, feel like can sing slightly better. haha

We went out and it was dark already outside!

Photobucket
Adele singing Someone Like You on the big screen of Shinjuku's crossing, There were some old men were watching her seriously and got blown away while waiting the light to cross. Who doesn't love Adele?

Photobucket
Kabukicho, the red light district

I bought this dress today for 50% off plus another extra 10% off after the half price down. Good deal! But still I shop too much these days. I declared on this blog that I'm not gonna shop anymore till... next month ;)

I have classes tomorrow!! My Winter break is officially over. I must start studying for finals and start working on my assignments. I must stop eating out and snacking too, I think I gained 2 kgs in a month. And last, I also need to fix my sleeping circle!
Healthy nerdy life, here I come.
